Legal Aid Centre
The Legal Aid Centre of Adv. Balasaheb Apte College of Law, affiliated with the District Legal Services Authority, Mumbai, was established in the academic year 2024–25 in accordance with the Bar Council of India Rules of Legal Education.
The Centre seeks to give effect to Article 39A of the Constitution of India by ensuring access to justice through free legal counselling. It is managed by final-year law students under the supervision of faculty members and functions on the second and fourth Saturdays of every month.
During these sessions, free legal guidance is provided to individuals facing legal issues. In addition to counselling services, the Legal Aid Centre conducts legal awareness programmes in accordance with the Common Minimum Programme of the National Legal Services Authority.
