ABOUT PES's ADV. BALASAHEB APTE COLLEGE OF LAW

Adv. Balasaheb Apte College of Law was established in the academic year 2012-13. It was then named the People’s Education Society’s Law College. Following the demise of Adv. Balasaheb Apte, the visionary and founding member of our law college, the college was renamed as Adv. Balasaheb Apte College of Law, as a tribute to his memory.
The college has an exclusive building measuring approximately 49,000 sq. ft. in area, featuring a Modern Library, Computer Laboratory, Seminar Hall, Moot- Court Room, Audio-Visual Hall, and Auditorium. The college is accredited by NAAC with a B++ Grade in the very first cycle. The college has a registered Alumni Association, Placement Cell and a Legal Aid Centre. Past students are among the University toppers and gold medallists, who have made the college proud.
Liberalisation and globalisation have significantly changed the scope of the legal profession. It has opened various new avenues in national & international fields. The Indian law graduates with a global perspective are acquiring top- most positions in business, industries, government jobs & international relations. Adv. Balasaheb Apte College of Law will train students to be efficient lawyers. The need for efficient lawyers is growing because of increasing public awareness of rights and the efficacy of the rule of law. People’s Education Society proposes to cater to these new needs of the cream of talent in our country.

- To establish & run a premier Law College & Institute offering world class legal education with all modern facilities.
- To impart training in Corporate Laws, Patent Laws, Cyber Laws, Space Laws, Environmental Laws through specialized
courses. - To undertake research in Law.
- Interact with the Judiciary, setting new trends in the legal system.
- Keeping social objectives in mind, to develop a Centre for free legal aid to the needy & economically handicapped
people. - To establish family counseling centres for women & children.
- Networking with Institutes, Government Agencies, and NGOs & Voluntary Organisations for better implementation
of the laws. - To create legal minds who build an impact in the field of law.
