Participations and Achievements in Law Fests
Lords Universal College of Law, Lex Loci fest, February, 2016
- Aditi Shetye, Apoorva Thake and Kaustubh Joshi participated in Moot Court competition and qualified upto the semi-final rounds.
- Akshay Pai, Sudhanva Bedekar and Anushree Koparkar participated in Extempore. Akshay Pai won the first prize.
- Pravin Naik, Sudhanva Bedekar, Akshay Pai and Abhishek Matkar participated in Law Quiz. Pravin Naik and Sudhanva Bedekar reached the finals. Pravin Naik won the first prize.
- Akshay Pai, Uttam Dubey, Sudhanva Bedekar, Simran Wagle, Aditi Shetye, Nikita Dharamshi, Keral Mehta, Noni Bhanushali, Aditi Vishwasrao, Anjalina Deb participated in Agree to Disagree. Keral Mehta and Noni Bhanushali won first prize and Sudhanva Bedekar won the Best Debater award.
- Sudhanva Bedekar, Arjun Kadam and Abhishek Matkar participated in Judgment writing competition. Sudhanva Bedekar won the first prize.
- Abhishek Matkar and Shreya Mehta participated in Legal Storyboard and won first prize.
- Akshay Pai, Arohi Thatte, Anjalina Deb, Uttam Dubey and Pratik Ingle participated in Bollywood Moot Court competition.
- Akshay Pai, Uttam Dubey, Noni Bhanushali and Keral Mehta participated in Client Counselling.
On account of the combined effort of the team in participating and winning maximum events, our college also got the Best College Award.

- (i) Mrunmayi Kotawdekar and Ruchika Indalkar and (ii) Abhishek Matkar and Siddhi Paradkar participated in Agree to Disagree.
- (i) Aditi Vishwasrao and Noorita Karnik and (ii) Ishani Paradkar and Shreya Mehta participated in Legal Storyboard. Ishani Paradkar and Shreya Mehta won the first prize.
- Pravin Naik and Sebin Michael participated in Client Counselling and won first prize.

- Mrunmayi Kotawadekar and Anushree Koparkar won First Prize in Investigative Courtroom Trial. Noni Bhanushali and Zelam Phadke won the second prize.
- Rohit Ranbhise, Zelam Phadke, Anushree Koparkar and Mrunmayi Kotawdekar participated in Law Quiz. RohitRan bhise and Zelam Phadke won Second Prize.
- Anushree Koparkar and Prem Gada participated in Client Counselling.
Achievements in Inter Collegiate competitions
- Uttam Dubey, Sudhanva Bedekar and Akshay Pai won the Extempore Moot Court Competition at Rizvi Law College, Mumbai, in February, 2016.
- Arjun Kadam and Ishani Paradkar won the Dr. V. N. Bedekar Debate Competition held at Thane Law College, in February, 2016. Arjun Kadam won the Best Speaker award and Ishani Paradkar won the Second Best Speaker award.
- Uttam Dubey and Aditi Shetye won the Second Prize in the PIL Drafting Competition held at Thane Law College, in February, 2016.
- Arjun Kadam, Sudhanva Bedekar and SuyashBhave won the Late N.V. alias Aruappa Joshi memorial ‘Short Notice’ Moot Court Competition held at S.B. Keer Law College, Ratnagiri, in February, 2016 and also won the Best Memorial Award. Arjun Kadam won the Best Speaker Award. Sudhanva Bedekar and SuyashBhave presented Research papers on the Human Rights of Accused and Convicts. Sudhanva Bedekar won the Best Research Paper and its Presentation Award.
- Siddhi Paradkar and Noni Bhanushali won Second Prize in the Clara Kaul memorial Extempore Moot Court Competition at CWC College of Law, Mumbai, in February, 2016.

- AkshayPai and Abhishek Matkar participated in Client Counselling at Law Tryst Fest, Jitendra Chauhan College of Law, in March, 2017 and reached the final round. They also participated in Law Quiz at the same event.
- Mrunmayi Kotawdekar participated in Essay Competition organized by BharatiyaStree Shakti organization.
- Noni Bhanushali, Ujjwala Tripathi and PremGada participated in K.G. Shah National Moot Court Competition in February, 2016.
Intra-Collegiate Achievements.
Intra Collegiate Debate Competition:
Nainisha Oza and Saurabh Kshirsagar won the First Prize. Aarti Sonawane and Shalaka Patil won the Second Prize. Gargi Burande and Pranati Dabholkar won the Best Research award. Arjun Kadam won the Best Speaker Award.
Marathi Debate Competition:
Devashree Karandikar and Saurabh Kshirsagar won the first prize. Chinmay Thatte and Shreeyash Changle won the Second Prize. Devashree Karandikar won the Best Speaker Award and Shreeyash Changle was adjudged Second Best Speaker.
Intra Collegiate Research Paper Presentation on Uniform Civil Code:
Sudhanva Bedekar and Arjun Kadam won the First Prize. Eesha Jaifalkar and Gargi Burande won the Second Prize. Ketki Pansare and Ujjwala Tripathi won the Third Prize.
Research Paper Presentations, publications and submissions for publication
- Arjun Kadam and Sudhanva Bedekar submitted a Research Paper on the Law of Sedition and the necessity to widen its scope at NLIU, Bhopal, (NLIU Law Review) in February, 2017.
- Arjun Kadam submitted an article named, ‘The tragedy of disenfranchised prisoners’ which was published in ‘The Legal Messenger Online Journal’, Volume 1, Issue 2, in August, 2016.
- Arjun Kadam submitted an article titled, ‘The Comatose State of Article 44’, which was published in the ‘International Journal of Socio-Legal Research, Volume 2, Issue 4.
- Sudhanva Bedekar submitted a Legislative Review paper on ‘Child Labour (Amendment) Act, 2016’ for publication to the Journal for Legal Research and Analysis.
- Sudhanva Bedekar and Arjun Kadam submitted a research paper on International Treaties and Conventions and Uniform Civil Code for publication to the Law and Society Journal, 6 th Edition.
