ACHIEVEMENTS - 2017 - 18
Participation at Inter-Collegiate Events
The college has always been keen on ensuring that the students imbibe knowledge and apply the same in real life situations. In keeping with the motto ‘participation is the stepping stone of success’ the college has always encouraged participation of students at various inter-collegiate events. Given below is the account of participation at various inter-collegiate competitions:
Legal/ Academics and Cultural Competitions:
- Tejal Inamdar and Devashri Karandikar participated in the ‘Rajyastariya Marathi Vaktrutva Spardha’ held at Dr. D. Y. Patil College of Law in March, 2017.
- Saurabh Kshirsagar, Abhishek Karnik, and Payal Vardhan participated in 1st Y. P. Trivedi Government Law College Tax Moot Court Competition, 2017.
- Shriya Amin, Zelam Phadke, Rohit Ranbhise, Keral Mehta, Krutika Patil, Archit Manurkar, Siddartha Desai, Nainisha Oza, and Arohi Thatte participated in St. Xaviers’ College Fest ‘Malhar, 2017’.
- Vruttika Jain and Shriya Nair, both students of T.Y.B.L.S/ L.L.B. participated in an elocution competition held at G. J. Advani College of Law, Mumbai.
- Shriya Amin, Zelam Phadke, and Rohit Ranbhise participated in the 1st Model United Nation’s Competition at K.L.E. Society’s Law College, Bangalore.
- Gargi Warunjikar and Devashri Karandikar participated in 12th Shankarrao Kanitkar National Level Moot Court Competition at Modern Law College, Pune in December, 2017.
- Apoorva Thakre, Aditi Shetye, and Prem Gada participated in the National Level Moot Court Competition at St. Wilfred’s College of Law in January, 2018.
- Preet Chawda, Nainisha Oza and Anuya Pathare participated in __ at Dr. D. Y. Patil College of Law.
- Sudhanva Bedekar, Arjun Kadam, and Shreeyash Changle participated in the Late Shri. Hashu Advani Memorial National Level Moot Court Competition at VES Law College, Mumbai in January, 2018.
- Akshay Nandakumar, Shrividya Nargolkar, and Neha Pethe participated in ‘Astraea’ at KES’s J. H. Patel Law College
- Noorita Karnik, Mayank Bhogle, and Rishabh Singh participated in Vidhigyaan, 2018.
- Abhishek Karnik, Omkar Wable, and Gargi Warunjikar participated in S.M.E.’s Smt. Kamlaben Gambhirchand Shah Law school, Mumbai’s 3rd National Moot Court Competition, 2018.
- Shreya Mehta, Rishabh Singh, Mrunmayi Kotawadekar, Mayank Bhogle, and Shalaka Patil participated in ‘Law Tryst’ the legal fest of S.V.K.M’s Jitendra Chauhan College of Law.
- Nainisha Oza, Ishani Paradkar, and Ruchira Naik participated in S. P. Sathe National Level Moot Court Competition at ILS Pune.

Another team comprising of Aditya Shendye, Om Lonkar, Sagar Purandare, Shivam Kadam, and Aditya Rai also participated in the said event. - Ridhika Kappor, Priyal Mehta, Agrima Mehta, Nehal Khatri, Dhwani Shah, Mansi Misra, Atumita Modi, and Krutika Patil participated in Throwball at the aforementioned event.
- Dhwani Shah also participated in Badminton. Agrima Mehta participated in chess.
Participation at MUTC’s ‘Khwaish’;
- Nikhil Kank, Arshad Ali Khan, Krutika Patil,Shambhuraje Pisal, and Sumit Mali participated in cricket.
- Anjalina Deb, Kaustubh Joshi, Satvik Teli, and Mayur Mohite also participated in cricket.
- Tanmay Rane, Siddharth Desai, Hrishikesh Salaskar, Omkar Mayekar participated in C.S.
- Tushar Halwai, Aditya Desai, Pratyush Mohapatra, and Pratik Ingle participated in Football.
Achievements in Inter Collegiate competitions
Students at PES’s Adv. Balasaheb Apte College of Law, thoroughly on the basis of sheer perseverance, hard work, and dedication- the same most ably supported by the faculty’s immense encouragement, able mentorship, guidance, and exceedingly supportive seniors have won several accolades for the college. Here’s having a look at the illustrious achievements of the students till now in this academic year:
- Rohit Ranbhise and Zelam Phadke were declared second runners-up in the quiz at Malhar Fest.
- Jason D’souza and Mira Deshpande won the first prize in Comic Story board Competition at Nari Gurshani College of Law.
- Uttam Dubey and Aditi Shetye won the Second Prize in the PIL Drafting Competition held at Thane Law College, in February, 2016.
- Anushree Koparkar and Preet Chawda were the runners up at K.C. Law College’s Client Counselling Competition.
- Arjun Kadam, Sudhanva Bedekar, and Preet Chawda, students of Fourth Year B.L.S./ L.L.B. were declared winners of the prestigious 2nd National Moot Court Competition at L.J. School of Law, Ahmedabad, Gujrat.
- Banalata Sen secured second position in the story writing competition at Wilson College.
- Nrupali Nadkarni and Banalata Sen won the first prize at Wilson College Quiz.
- Jason D’souza secured third position in the story writing competition at Wilson College.
- Tanvi Chavhan, Ipsita Kate, and Drushti Parab won the first prize at a State-Level Moot Court Competition at Lokmanya Tilak College of Law, Pune.
- Sudhanva Bedekar and Arjun Kadam won Veer Savarkar Memorial File Your PIL Competition at VPM’s TMC Law College. Arjun Kadam won the Best Speaker.
Inayat Ali and Shalaka Patil won the second prize in Dr. V. N. Bedekar Memorial Debate. Shalaka Patil won the Second Best Speaker. - At G. J. Advani Law College’s ‘Vidhi Kiran, 2017-18’
Devashri Karandikar, Gargi Warunjikar, and Dhanashri Hublikar won Late Barrister H. G. Advani Memorial Moot Court Competition. Gargi Warunjikar also won the Best Speaker Award.
Kinjal Palande and Shreeyash Changle secured first position in Letter to Chief Justice Competition.
Devashri Karandikar and Gargi Warunjikar won Late Dr. H. R. Hiranandani Memorial Extempore Moot Court Competition.
Kinjal Palande, Shreeyash Changle, and Dhanashree Hublikar were declared runner-up team in the Parliamentary Debate Competition. - At MUTC’s fest ‘Khwaish’
Anushree Koparkar and Mrunmayi Kotawdekar were declared winners of ‘Investigative Courtroom Trial’.
Prret Chawda and Pranati Dabholkar were adjudged the winners of Legal Quiz and Parliamentary Debate. - Banalata Sen secured 3rd position at ‘Vividh 2018’ Plot Twist Competition.
Jhanvi Nagi secured 1st position at ‘Vividh 2018’ Prop Art Competition. - Sudhanva Bedekar, Arjun Kadam, and Abhishek Karnik won the first runner-up position at the 8th M. K. Nambyar National Moot Court Competition, 2018, Belgaum.Arjun Kadam also won the Best Speaker Award.
- Mayank Bhogle won Law Triathlon at JCCL’s Law Tryst.
- Neha Pethe and Rohit Ranbhise won the 1st prize in ‘Netflix & Chill’ at Zankaar, 2018.
- Neha Pethe, Mrunali Naik, Saee Sawant, Shreya Mehta, and Aditi Vishwasrao won 1st prize in the Drama Competition, at ‘Parampara, 2017’ (Hass been mentioned in 2017 souvenir; cross-check); Chetana Salunkhe, Saee Sawant – group dance
Sports Events:
At VJTI’s ‘ENTHUSIA’, Ms. Aishwarya Padwal secured second position.
MUTC’s ‘Khwaish, 2018’ the students won for the college following awards:
- The football team comprising of Tanmay Rane, Hrishikesh Salaskar, Chinmay Thatte, and Humdan Ansari were the second runners-up at the said event.
- C. S. Team Archhit Manurakar, Kaustubh Joshi, Satvik Teli and Atharva Shinde won the said event.
- Nikhil Kank, Sumit Mali, Krutika Patil, Arshad Ali Khan, and Shambhuraje Pisal won ‘Glow-Cricket’.
- Tushar Halwai, Anjalina Deb, Chinmay Thatte, Ravi Ganatra, and Pawan Gala were the second runners-up in in Glow Cricket.
