Participation at Inter-Collegiate Events
The college has always been keen on ensuring that the students imbibe knowledge and apply the same in real life situations. In keeping with the motto ‘participation is the stepping stone of success’ the college has always encouraged participation of students at various inter-collegiate events. It is our firm belief that right exposure provided to willing students at any stage of their academic career, always bears a great impact on the students’ life as a professional, and more importantly, shapes them as better humans. Given below is the account of participation at various inter-collegiate competitions:

Participation at Inter-Collegiate Events
Students at PES’s Adv. Balasaheb Apte College of Law, thoroughly on the basis of sheer perseverance, hard work, and dedication- the same most ably supported by the faculty’s immense encouragement, able mentorship, guidance, and selflessly supportive seniors have won several accolades for the college. Indeed, ‘seven’, as a number has always carried with itself a history of positive connotations and significance, for almost every major human civilisation. Our journey as a fully functional College began about seven years ago, in July 2012. As we approach our seventh anniversary, we have been very mindful of looking towards the world as a stage- a stage to put up our foot forward, a stage to challenge our very own skills, question our very own competency, and also a stage for our students to win laurels for the College. In this feature, we look to celebrate the sweet fruits of labour of our students, as we wish them the best to keep up and strive hard on their path to success, succeeding in life, it is indeed time to take into account the accolades achieved by our students, this academic session:
A) Moot Courts and Allied Competitive Activities :
MOOTING :
- Arjun Kadam, SudhanvaBedekar and Gayatri Sathe won the 2nd Best Memorial Award at the 12th Pro Bono Enviro National Environmental Law Moot Court Competition organised by TNDALU’s School of Excellence in Law, Chennai. They also qualified to the Semi Final round.
- Arjun Kadam, SudhanvaBedekar and Atharva Date won First Prize at the 2nd Surana and Surana and University Institute of Legal Studies (UILS), Punjab National Moot Court Competition. Arjun Kadam won Best Student Advocate and SudhanvaBedekar won Second Best Student Advocate award. SudhanvaBedekar won the Best Speaker of the Finals award.
- Arjun Kadam, SudhanvaBedekar and Atharva Date won first prize at the 9th National Moot Court Competition, ‘Checkmate’, 2019 at the Army Institute of Law, Mohali, Punjab.
- Arjun Kadam, SudhanvaBedekar and DrutiDatar won the 3rd Senior Advocate Girish Patel Memorial National Moot Court Competition at LJ School of Law, Ahmedabad.SudhanvaBedekar won the Best Mooter award.
- Anoushka Modak, Aditya Rai and Ankita Lele secured 2nd position at Vidhi Kiran Law fest at G.J. Advani College of Law.
- Devashri Karandikar, Gargi Warunjikar, and RuchaPendse received the best memorial award at P B Sawant National Moot Court Competition. They also qualified for the final round.
- Gargi Burande, Shaanya Srivastava and Pranati Dabholkar won the second position at “Lex Communique 2019” National Moot court competition at Thakur Ramnarayan College of law, Dahisar.
- Devashri Karandikar and DrutiDatar won the Best Team at VPM’sTMC Law College’s File Your PIL Competition. They also won the Best Draft award.

- MrunmayiKotawdekar won the first place in the debate competition in the law fest ETERNUS at MGM law college, Nerul.
- NainishaOza secured 3rd Place at the Nani Palkhiwala Elocution Competition.
- Gargi Warunjikar and Shriya Nair secured the First Prize in the Law Quiz at ‘Anuraag 2019’, a fest organised by the New Law College, Mumbai.
- Preet Chawda and Kaustubh Joshi won Investigative Courtroom Trial and Legal Quiz at MUTC’sKhwaaish 2019.
B) Cultural Activities :
- Preet Chawda, SudhanvaBedekar and Kinjal Palande secured 3rd at Zonal Level in QuizwhileNainishaOzastood 3rd at Zonal Level in Elocution Group B (Hindi/English) at the 51st Youth Festival organised by he Mumbai University.
- Ishaan Paranjape, KedarDhargalkar, and Shreem Pathak secured the second position in the Debate Competition at Vaze Kelkar College’s ‘Zoomerang’.
- MrunmayiKotawdekar won the award of the Best C.L. at Khwaaish, 2019, hosted by MUTC, Mumbai.The College also won the ‘Best College Award’ for the second consecutive time at this Fest.
- At GLC’s ‘Zankaar 2019’, MrunmayiKotawadekar, Saurabh Desai, and Uday Singh Kashidsecured 2nd Position in ‘Mad Ads’. Uday SinghKashid secured first position in Mono Acting, and also won the title of ‘Mr. Zankaar’. At the same event, Malhar Kadam and Nitin Rai secured Second Position in the Meme Making Competition.
C) Sports Events :
- A team comprising of Nikhil Kank, Karan Gudhka, Nachiket Pai, Shreyas Gavankar, and Sumitkumar Mali secured the position of Runners-Up in Box Cricket at Zankaar 2019, GLC Mumbai’s Fest. At the same Fest, Rishabh Singh, Mayank Bhogle, Alex D’souza, and Aditya Shendye secured the position of Runners-Up in Soccer.
SPECIAL ACHIEVEMENT :
It is a moment of great pride and joy for us that a member of the College’s Full-Time Faculty, Professor Prajnee Sahoo, a Full Time Faculty at the College has won the ‘Best Paper’ Prize at the ‘National Seminar on Recent Trends in Development of Constitutional Law in India’ SPARKLE at KLE Society’s KLE College of Law.
