In what had been an easy and scoring academic career at school, suddenly a 65% at HSC seemed like the catastrophe of the century. While I wallowed in my sorrow, a B.E.S.T. bus brushed past with an advertisement, “NEW LAW COLLEGE IN DADAR! ADMISSIONS OPEN”. Little did I know that this would be the defining moment of my life. This advertisement led me to join ABACL, where studying was like being part of a large family. I got the best opportunities to study law and to develop my personality. From performing well in academics, topping the University of Mumbai in Law of Evidence, to participating and winning in over 15 moot court and extra-curricular competitions at the national level…within 5 years our trophy-cabinet was overflowing! It was not individual brilliance that led us to win, but the atmosphere we studied in. From academics to moots, sports to theatre, we aced it all. Today, I proudly say that I am an alumnus of ABACL, practicing at Bombay High Court and courts all over India. I could not have reached this stage without my college. Because at ABACL, we studied law, but more importantly, we learned to be responsible citizens.
